by Tom Falconer
I am delighted to state that my final report is a most favorable one as you can see by the monies accumulated and listed as members equity. Early in July, I transferred all the records of the Fellowship to Carter Wind, but if memory serves me correctly that is about the same amount I transferred from a bank in Oklahoma after you elected me as Treasurer in 1994 at the annual meeting in Buelton, CA. Since that time we have donated, probably $15,000 to worthy causes, mainly the Highway Safety Program, and think of all the fun we had doing that, as well as all the rallies.
After quadrupling all officers salaries during the same period of time, I wonder how it was all done. It has been an extreme pleasure to have served you and I will be forever flattered that you saw fit for me to handle your finances over so long a period.
As you will all know from this issue - though so many of you learned from our web site or grapevine - Betty lost her long battle with breast cancer on August 5. I will always be indebted to our fellowship for the large outpouring of affection extended to me and my family and the sharing of our sorrow in her passing on. We are so grateful for the happy memories so many of you recall with her and it is with all such memorable times I trust our family will adjust.
