ROTARY RV FELLOWSHIP

ANNUAL MEETING

CHICAGO,IL

June 15, 2005

 

Members present: Ken Calderwood, Jim Smith, Carter Wind, Jerry Haley, Bob Craig, Jack Spencer, Al Brieger, Bob Scott, Clyde Glosson, and Mike Pinson. 

 

Meeting was called to order at 2P.M. by president KenCalderwood.

 

Minutes of 6/15/04 annual meeting approved.

 

Treasurer’s report: Carter Wind reviewed the income & expenses for the year and stated that the bank balance as of today is $25,415.00.  Carter pointed out that the current rally may have a shortfall of $5000.00.  Treasurer’s report was approved.

 

Membership report given by Jerry Haley.  Current membership is 424.  It was requested that each zone director be provided with a roster of the members in his/her zone.

 

Website:  It was pointed out that Kirk Greiner is doing a fine job.  Info sent to him for publication must be put in format that his computer can read.

   

Quilt:  The quilt is finished & will fit a queen size bed.  Raffle tickets for it to be sold at all RVF functions at this rally & also at the booth in the House of Friendship.  Drawing to be held at noon on Wed. 6/22/05.

 

Rally Contest:  Clyde Glosson won the contest & will be reimbursed for the $250.00 of fuel to this rally & registration costs for this rally.

 

A motion was made to authorize the expenditure of $2367.00 for liability insurance for this rally to satisfy the requirements of  Soldier Field & Kohler.  Furthermore, Jerry Haley was authorized to purchase liability insurance for the RVF as long as the premium is less than $3000.00 per year.  Motion approved.

 

By-laws:  Changes suggested by the by-law review committee headed by Gene Wright were approved.

 

Rallies:  It was reported that rallies are currently planned for Lone Pine, CA; Palm Springs, CA; Belton, TX; Frankenmuth, MI; & Wimberely, TX.  The 2006 Annual Rally will be held in Nashville, TN from 5/23/06 to 5/27/06.

 

Clyde Glosson reported that he has 167 RVF hats for sale.
