2007-08 Board Meeting

June 12, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 4:33pm by Pres.-Elect Al Brieger.  Present were all mentioned in previous meeting minutes.

Al presented his board of officers for 2007-08 (which can be found on the RVF website).  All were unanimously elected.  They will be introduced & installed at the Breakaway Breakfast at the end of the rally. 

P.E. Al has appointed an RVF Projects Committee to make recommendations for projects & policies to the board.  Composition of this board is:

                                        Past Pres. not currently on the board—Dick Roberts

                                        Member of current board—Jack Spencer

                                        Member at large—AJ Lynch

Attendance at rallies & membership recruitment:

     Each officer & director is expected to insure that at least 2 rallies per year are held in the areas & zones wherein they reside.  Also, attending rallies outside their areas would be a special bonus and perhaps encourage new members.

2008 National rally: Los Angeles—Laura & Ken Calderwood wagonmasters with assistance from Jack Spencer & Keith Dindinger

2009 National rally: Curville, TX May 27-30, 2009 Buckhorn Lake RV Park

Request to consider honoring deceased Past Presidents with a dedicated gift.  Referred to the Projects Comm.

Carter Wind has served the RVF as treasurer for the last 6 years with great care, diligence, & dedication.  Carter has made the decision to step aside as treasurer.  We are all very grateful for Carter’s & Phyllis’s leadership & dedication in the RVF, and look forward to seeing them at future rallies.  THANK YOU, CARTER!!

Byron Maxwell will assume the position of treasurer.
