I. The following slate of Officers for the period July 1, 2001 – June 30, 2003 was approved on a motion by Dick Roberts and seconded by Jack Spencer:

Bob Hamblin who had previously served as
President-elect and automatically moved up to the position of President.
II. The Board
enthusiastically reaffirmed its support of the Highway Safety Program.
TO assist in the promotion of this Project President Bob has established
a HSP Committee with Al Ficker as Chair. Purpose
of the Committee is to work with RVF Directors and Wagonmasters to see that
story is told and funds are raised to support the effort.
III. Bob Scott who, along with his
wife Mary is serving as Wagonmaster for our 2002 Annual Rally, presented an
information sheet outlining proposed activities for the 2002 Annual Rally.
This Rally will be held at the Garden of the Gods Campground in Colorado
Springs, CO. Dates are June 6 –
9, 2002. Further information will
be forthcoming in future issues of the Caravanner.
IV. Bob Hamblin asked for the Board’s
help in ferreting out possible locations for the 2003 & 2004 Annual Rallies.
He further stated that the 2003 Rally should be somewhere on the Eastern
side of the Mississippi River.

Bob reported that Gene Wright has requested assistance in the Production
end of the Caravanner. As of the
July (Summer) Issue Gene will have Editorial responsibility and Laura Calderwood
will handle the printing, mailing, i.e. Production side of the Newsletter.
There
being no other “official” business to be discussed the meeting was adjourned
at 4:00 PM
