Pres. Jim thanked all on the board for helping to make his 2 years as president successful.  He was particularly proud because we about doubled our membership(spouses were allowed voting power).  Pres. Jim expressed deep appreciation to Jack Spencer & Carter Wind for all of their efforts organizing this years national rally in salt Lake City.  Pre. Jim also introduced 2 new board members:Clyde Glosson & Glen Duysen.

Treasurer’s report:  Treasurer Carter Wind reported we continue to remain in excellent financial health.  As of May 30, 2007 we have a bank balance of $62,208.00 & the Highway Safety Program has $8204.00.  A full years report will be available after July 1, 2007.  The report was approved.

2007 Rally Report:  Wagonmaster Jack Spencer reported the fairgrounds personnel have been very helpful & willing to do as much as possible to ensure a successful rally.  This is the largest rally they have hosted.  We have 107 RV’s form 28 states & 2 provinces.. special thanks again to Jack & Carter for all their efforts.

2008 National Rally: Los Angeles, CA

       2009 National Rally:  Curville, TX

Membership report:  Membership chair Jerry Haley reported membership at 412 as of June5, 2007.  We had 56 new members this year.  Dues statements will be mailed to 130 members whose membership is coming due this year as of 6/30/07.  It continues to be important for all of us to recruit new members—best way is local, district, & zone rallies.

Old Business:

1—It was not necessary to renew our liability insurance for this years rally.

2—Caravanner editor Bob Scott reminded us that rally information be sent to him   in a timely fashion for publication (forms are available on our website).  Also important are reports & pictures of past rallies sent to him & Kirk (website).  Bob lead a discussion whether or not to continue a paper Caravanner as opposed to electronic Caravanner.  It was decided that we would continue as we are & those who would like to receive it electronically let Bob know.  90 cards were sent to members re: “hard copy” or internet receipt of the Caravanner—34 cards returned requesting internet.  Bob is also persuing the cost of mailing the Caravanner with not-for-profit status which would be a considerable cost saving.

Website report:  Webmaster Kirk Greiner stated more can be done on the website if we could get more input from members.  It is very easy to access the forms for future rallies from the website & return them to him for listing.  This information should be sent to Kirk & Bob electronically for immediate posting in both venues.

New business:  Pre.-Elect Al Brieger circulated a signup sheet for coverage at our booth in Fellowship Hall at the RI Convention.

Future rallies:  several are already posted an additional one is : Eastern Zone Spring Rally

                                                                                                     Tallahassee, FL

The number of board members & zone representation will be disussed by Laura & Ken Calderwood, Jim Hall, & Gordon Lippa & reported back to us at our next meeting.

Pres. Jim closed his last board meeting at 4:32pm.

Respectfully submitted.
